Sacred Skull Sculptures

These sculptures are alive.

They serve as homes for displaced spirits who’s land has been overrun by the current of modern minds. The displacement shows a rupture in the connection we as humans have with Nature and her consciousness. By feeding spirits, burning incense for spirits, gifting spirits flowers or tobacco, homing spirits, or even simply acknowledging their existence, we can begin to bridge this rupture and right the imbalanced occupying of our shared space.

These sculptures are in honor of the animals lost.

There can be so many cruel unknowns in how an animal has left their physical body. Humans who embody displaced anger can take it out on sentient beings who are vulnerable to helping those that are lost. And some just live and die without witness. The alignment and vibration of the natural and living materials that are paired with the skulls help to release the negative imprint possibly left as the animal transitioned.

These sculptures live in right relationship to the life & death cycle.

None of the materials used are new. The mixed-media items are found, rescued, dug up or refurbished, as to not add any manmade objects to our planet, but simply collect and juxtapose to create an altar of novelty.
